Bowen Dryden features in Wedding Ideas Valentine’s 2020 issue
Bowen Dryden is thrilled to have a three-page feature spread in the Valentine’s issue of Wedding Ideas.
Our Forget-me-Not dress from our Bloom collection is featured.
With intricate, period appropriate bouquets and headdresses comprising pampas grass, honesty, bleached pepper berries, Japanese anemones, dahlias, Vendela roses, eucalyptus and orchids to complement their filmy embroidered, lace and appliqué gowns and gloves, this shoot’s models embodied the poise of Regency-era debutante brides.
“I wanted to recreate the glamorous, dishevelled romance of Georgian high society, so we paired opulent bridalwear and blooms with the stripped-back refinement of the Regency Townhouse. Its floor to-ceiling windows gave an ambient light that brought a modernity to the heritage styling.” ~ Jacqulyn Hamilton, Photographer
“ I love the interplay of 3D flowers with threaded embroidery; it has a Bohemian feel which is fresh in a formal design.” ~ Sharon Bowen-Dryden, Designer
Bloom is a fashion forward yet romantic collection of barely there sheer tulle overdresses in gorgeous, `hint of` shades of Smoke, Mauve, Moon, Rosewater, Almond and Opal, with a flora and fauna theme.
Tulle sheath gowns are cut to perfection, with cleverly positioned hand embroideries, strewn with roses, daisies, forget-me-nots, cornflowers, hummingbirds and peacocks and are elegantly adorned with silk threads, ribbons, pearls, sequins and crystals.
The Bloom collection can be worn sheer or paired with a bespoke lining. Brides can choose the perfect lining shape and material to reflect their personality and wedding style, from classic fishtail to hot pants and playsuits made in liquid satin, vintage lace or sequins and dyed to any shade.
Bloom allows freedom to create your own truly unique gown.
